Our Pack Hike Program is Not Your Typical Dog Walk

Our pack hike program is not your typical dog walk. Over the past decade we have refined this program to be safe, fun, and reinforce real world training. Here are some things that set our pack hiking program apart.

-It is a way for your dog to get out of a city environment and not be stuck inside an overstimulating day care all day. Spending time in nature helps them better regulate their emotions and decompress.

-It is a safe and productive way for your dog to socialize with other dogs. Dogs are in small groups, paired with other dogs whose personalities work well together. Since the groups are the same each week the dogs can build strong, long lasting relationships with the other dogs.  Our hikers are experienced trainers who understand dog social behavior and can reinforce healthy social behavior and stop inappropriate behavior.

-All dogs go through a training program prior to joining the hiking program. There are no out of control dogs. All dogs can loose leash walk, come when called, and stay when asked before joining the pack.

-The hikes are not a-free-for-all. Dogs enter and exit the car one at a time when their names are called, work on obedience training, have curated playtime, only go into the water when released, and do not approach any people, dogs, or wildlife on the trails.

-Groups are small enough and our team is skilled enough that we can cater the hikes to your dog’s specific needs. If your dog has issues socializing with other dogs, needs to build their confidence, has specific obedience commands the need to improve on, is reactive, or specific medical needs we can accommodate within reason.

-All hikes are followed up with a detailed report card, pictures, and videos of your dog’s adventure. If your dog has any issues or behavioral concerns that need to be addressed you will be promptly informed, we don’t hold back info or sugar coat your dogs experience. We want you to know exactly how they did so we can help you troubleshoot and improve on any training concerns.

Our team has expanded recently and we are ready to accept new hikers for the summer. Spots are limited and dependent on location. Feel free to reach out via the contact page on our website for more details.
