My Goal as a Dog Trainer
My goal as a dog trainer is to teach you to empower your dog to make good decisions.
I want you to feel confident about the choices you make with your dog
And that’s a lot more than sit, stay, come.
It’s teaching you and your dog a system of communication in which you can use to implement healthy behavior and shift your relationship dynamic.
It’s showing you how and when to advocate for your dog so they respect and trust your decisions.
It’s explaining how your dog sees, smells, hears, and feels. How your dog problem solves, processes stimuli, and sequences behaviors together to communicate.
It is understanding the evolutionary process that has brought you and your dog to the point you are at today. It is dissecting that natural relationship and reapplying it to modern life.
It is discovering tools, skills, protocols, and games that can build your relationship and system of communication with your dog in a healthy way.
It’s a lot more than just sit, stay, come. It’s a lot more than just a clicker and treats, it’s a lot more than pressing a button or popping a leash. It’s building a healthy relationship with a sentient, but non consenting animal of another species. I want you to feel like you have the power to build that healthy relationship for years to come, through thick and thin, so you and your dog can make the most out of each other’s company.
